With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we honor the life and memory of Daniel Richard Hoffmann, 77, of Cumberland, Wisconsin, who tragically passed away following a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and an ATV in Barron County on Thursday afternoon, October 22, 2026. His passing is a heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the tragic crash occurred at approximately 1:19 p.m. on U.S. Highway 63 near 29 1/2 Avenue. Authorities reported that an ATV was crossing the highway when it collided with a motorcycle traveling southbound. Daniel was identified as the 77-year-old man who lost his life in the collision. The ATV driver, 25-year-old Devin James Guggenberger of Barronett, was reportedly uninjured.

Emergency responders from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources attended the scene. Cumberland EMS and the Cumberland Fire Department also assisted. The crash remains under investigation.
