In Loving Memory of Peggy Thomas, 72

With heavy hearts, we remember Peggy Thomas, 72, of Hemet, California, who tragically lost her life in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning along State Route 74 near Devil’s Ladder Trail. Her sudden passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how precious life is and how quickly everything can change.

According to the California Highway Patrol, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene around 9:15 a.m. after reports of a single-motorcycle crash. Peggy was riding as a passenger on a Harley-Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle driven by a 71-year-old man, also from Hemet, when a deer unexpectedly ran across the roadway.

The driver attempted to swerve left to avoid the animal, but the motorcycle struck the deer, left the roadway, and traveled onto the north dirt shoulder. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting both Peggy and the driver.

Tragically, Peggy was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Highway 74 was temporarily closed in both directions while emergency crews responded and authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash. The roadway has since reopened.

Peggy’s passing leaves a painful loss for her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Although details about her personal life have not been publicly shared, her life deserves to be remembered with dignity, compassion, and respect.

During this difficult time, may her loved ones find comfort in their cherished memories and strength in the support of those around them. No words can fully ease the pain of losing someone so suddenly.

May Peggy Thomas rest in eternal peace. May her memory remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her, and may her family find strength and healing in the days ahead.
