IN LOVING MEMORY OF MARLIN HENSLEY, 75

With heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of 75-year-old Marlin Hensley of Union, whose life was tragically cut short following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Union, Kentucky.

The fatal crash occurred Thursday morning at approximately 9:59 a.m. at the intersection of Hathaway Road (KY 536) and Sullivan Road. Boone County deputies responded to reports of a serious collision that required emergency medical assistance and extrication.

According to investigators, Hensley was riding as a front-seat passenger in a GMC Yukon traveling westbound on Riddles Run Road. The vehicle stopped at a stop sign before attempting to turn left onto Hathaway Road. Investigators determined that the Yukon entered the path of an eastbound Dodge Ram 3500 truck pulling a trailer, resulting in a collision.

Emergency responders rushed to help those involved. Hensley was transported by Union EMS to Union Fire Station No. 2, where an AirCare medical helicopter was arranged. Tragically, he was pronounced dead before arrival.

The driver of the GMC Yukon was transported by Burlington EMS to UC Medical Center with severe but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram was not injured.

While the circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated, the loss of Marlin Hensley is a heartbreaking reminder of how suddenly life can change. Behind every tragic accident is a person whose life mattered, whose presence was meaningful, and whose absence will be deeply felt by those who knew and loved him.

At 75 years old, Marlin deserved to enjoy the precious moments of life surrounded by the people and memories that meant the most to him. His passing leaves behind sorrow and a loss that words cannot fully express.

May his memory forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May his loved ones find strength, comfort, and peace as they navigate this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Marlin Hensley. Gone from this world, but never forgotten.
