In Loving Memory of Cathy Ricketts
We are devastated to share the sudden and unexpected passing of Cathy Ricketts on May 2nd. Her loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Cathy was a devoted mother, a caring sister, and a deeply compassionate soul who carried the weight of life with strength, grace, and unwavering love for her family.
Cathy’s greatest pride and purpose in life was her beloved daughter, Allie. Cathy dedicated herself completely to Allie’s care, advocating for her, supporting her, and ensuring she was surrounded by love every single day. Allie, who is severely disabled and terminally ill, was the center of Cathy’s world. Her devotion as a mother was unconditional and constant, shaped by sacrifice, resilience, and a love that never wavered.
This heartbreaking situation is made even more difficult as Cathy did not have life insurance, having been focused instead on planning for Allie’s future needs and funeral arrangements. With Cathy’s unexpected passing, the family is now faced with the urgent responsibility of covering funeral expenses for Cathy, as well as addressing any debts associated with her estate.
To honor Cathy’s life and the love she gave so freely, we are seeking support during this incredibly painful time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward funeral costs and helping the family navigate these unexpected financial burdens.
