Caiden Gibson Obituary, Leesburg. GA Death – Community Mourns 20-Year-Old Apprentice Lineman Following Tragic Work Accident
The Leesburg community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Caiden Michael Gibson, who passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the age of 20 following a tragic work accident.
Born on May 31, 2005, in Albany, Caiden was known as a hardworking young man with a deep love for his family, friends, and the outdoors. He worked for the City of Albany as an apprentice lineman, a career he took pride in and approached with dedication and determination.
Outside of work, Caiden enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially duck hunting and riding ATVs with those closest to him. Friends and family remember him as someone who loved adventure, laughter, and making memories with the people he cared about most. Above all else, Caiden adored his young son, Cotton Michael Gibson, who brought immense joy and purpose to his life.
Though his life was tragically cut short, those who knew Caiden say he lived with a big heart and an unwavering love for family. He shared a close bond with his wife, Bella Knox, and treasured every moment spent with his loved ones.
Caiden was preceded in death by his mother, Kristy Lynn Bridges; his grandfather, Roger Dale Bridges Sr.; and his uncle, Roger “Bubba” Bridges Jr.
He leaves behind his wife, Bella Knox; his son, Cotton Michael Gibson; his father, Randy Gibson of Lee County; brothers, Bryer, Blake, and Dallas; grandparents, Dee Bridges of Leesburg and Pat and Karl Harris of Lee County; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dan Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.
