In Loving Memory of David Febres, 55: Massachusetts Man Tragically Dies Following ATV Accident in Fremont, New Hampshire

According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, Conservation Officers were notified shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, about an ATV accident that occurred along the Rockingham Recreational Trail in Fremont.

The operator involved in the accident was later identified as David Febres of Dracut, Massachusetts. Following the notification, a New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation Officer responded to the scene, where they met with Fremont Police Department officers and members of David’s riding party.

David was initially transported from the accident scene by the Fremont Fire Department. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was subsequently airlifted by Boston MedFlight to Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Despite the efforts made by medical personnel and life-saving measures, David sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation by New Hampshire Fish and Game authorities. Officials have not yet released further details about what led to the tragic incident.

Following the accident, New Hampshire Fish and Game reminded ATV and off-highway recreational vehicle riders to exercise caution whenever operating their vehicles.
