IN LOVING MEMORY OF KAYLA HENDRICKSON

A Life Remembered, A Life Gone Too Soon

With profound sadness, we remember 35-year-old Kayla Hendrickson of Emmonak, Alaska, whose life was tragically cut short in a suspected murder-suicide currently under investigation in the community of Kotlik.

According to the Alaska State Troopers, authorities were alerted at approximately 1:27 a.m. Tuesday to a report of two deceased individuals inside a residence in Kotlik. Following an initial investigation, authorities believe that 43-year-old Kenneth Andrew of Bethel killed Kayla Hendrickson before turning the gun on himself.

The heartbreaking discovery has left two families facing an unimaginable loss. A life that should have continued with more opportunities, memories, and moments with loved ones has instead ended in a tragedy that has deeply affected those connected to the individuals involved.

Kayla was only 35 years old. Her passing is a painful reminder of how suddenly life can change and how deeply the loss of someone can affect family members, friends, and an entire community. Those who knew and loved her are now left to grieve, remember, and hold on to the memories they shared.

The Alaska State Troopers confirmed that the next of kin for both Andrew and Hendrickson have been notified. Their remains are being transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office, where autopsies will be conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.

As authorities continue working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident, the families are left to navigate the difficult days ahead.

May Kayla Hendrickson be remembered with dignity, compassion, and respect. May her loved ones find strength and comfort as they face this devastating loss.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to everyone affected by this tragedy. May both families find peace, support, and strength during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Kayla Hendrickson. Gone too soon, but not forgotten.
