In Loving Memory of Scott Arnold: Wilmington Township Community Mourns 59-Year-Old Following Tragic Fourth of July Motorcycle Crash
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, family members, friends, and the Wilmington Township community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Scott Arnold, whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating motorcycle crash on Saturday, July 4, in Mercer County. At 59 years old, Scott’s sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
According to authorities, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pulaski Mercer Road and New Castle Road in Wilmington Township.
Investigators reported that the motorcycle Scott was operating entered the intersection after allegedly traveling past a posted stop sign before colliding with an SUV traveling along New Castle Road, which does not have a stop sign at that intersection. The violent impact threw Scott from his motorcycle, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported Scott to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel fought tirelessly to save his life. Despite their best efforts, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Two occupants of the SUV sustained minor injuries and were treated following the crash.
Scott’s tragic passing has deeply affected his family, friends, and the entire community. His death serves as a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly life can change and how precious every moment with those we love truly is.
