A tragic incident in Peddapalli district has claimed the life of 3-year-old Divya Behra, who was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs while playing outside her family’s rented home in Katnapalli village, Sultanabad mandal.

According to reports, the child was playing in front of the accommodation where her migrant labourer parents from Odisha were staying when the dogs suddenly attacked her. The animals reportedly dragged her to a nearby agricultural field before she sustained fatal injuries. She was declared dead at the scene due to multiple injuries.

The devastating loss has left the family and local community in shock, highlighting ongoing concerns about the growing stray dog population in rural areas and the safety risks faced by children in such environments.
