With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we honor the life and legacy of Todd Cranston, who passed away on May 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
To know Todd was truly a gift.
He was the kind of person whose presence made others feel supported, valued, and understood. Whether through his generosity, leadership, compassion, or unwavering loyalty, Todd left a lasting impression everywhere he went. He was someone people trusted, someone they could depend on, and someone who never hesitated to put others before himself.
Above all else, Todd was devoted to his family.
He shared a beautiful 30-year marriage with his beloved wife, Sandy Lee, building a life rooted in love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Together they raised two sons, Alec and Lochlin, who were among Todd’s greatest sources of pride and joy. His role as a husband and father was not simply part of who he was — it was at the center of his heart.
Todd’s love for his family extended far beyond his immediate household. He was a cherished son to his mother Marion, a loving brother to Tim, Tony, and Stephanie, and a proud uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. The bond he shared with those closest to him was built on sincerity, laughter, support, and unconditional love.
He was predeceased by his father, Murdock Cranston, along with several beloved relatives whose memories he carried throughout his life.
Professionally, Todd built a remarkable career marked by dedication, integrity, and leadership. A graduate of Saint Mary’s University and JL Isley High School, he went on to become highly respected within the technical sales industry. Over the years, Todd worked across multiple industries before ultimately serving as Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Canada with Hetek Solutions.
For more than a decade, Todd played an instrumental role in the company’s growth across Eastern and Atlantic Canada. Colleagues admired not only his professionalism and work ethic, but also the kindness and authenticity he brought into every interaction. He was more than a leader — he was a mentor, a teammate, and someone who genuinely cared about the people around him.
His contributions during Hetek’s 2022 acquisition demonstrated his vision, commitment, and ability to guide others through change with confidence and compassion. The respect he earned throughout his career speaks volumes about the kind of person he was both professionally and personally.
Yet for all his accomplishments, those closest to Todd will remember him most for the man behind the career — one of the truly good guys.
He was compassionate and trustworthy, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He had a way of making people feel welcome, heard, and appreciated. His laughter, advice, friendship, and generosity created connections that will endure long after his passing.
Even throughout his battle with brain cancer, Todd showed remarkable courage and strength. He faced difficult days with resilience and determination, supported by the love of his family and community. His journey inspired many and reflected the same quiet strength and character that defined his life.
As loved ones mourn this tremendous loss, they also celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and integrity. Todd’s legacy lives on through his family, the friendships he nurtured, the colleagues he mentored, and the countless lives he touched along the way.
Though he may no longer be physically present, his memory remains alive in every story shared, every lesson remembered, and every heart forever changed by knowing him.
