It is with profound sadness that we honour the life and memory of Judy Sharples, who peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 5, at the age of 62. Judy’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered not only for the love she gave so freely, but also for the warmth, kindness, and compassion that defined her life.
Judy was a deeply cherished wife, mother, relative, and friend whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her caring nature, gentle spirit, and unwavering support for others made her someone people naturally gravitated toward. Whether through her thoughtful words, generous heart, or quiet strength, Judy touched countless lives and created lasting memories that will forever be treasured.
Those closest to her describe Judy as a truly wonderful lady whose love for family and friends was at the center of everything she did. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued and cared for, and her kindness extended far beyond her immediate circle. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Judy’s life at Coatham Memorial Hall on Thursday, May 28, at 11:30 a.m., where loved ones will come together to honour her memory and say their final goodbyes. Following the service, attendees are warmly invited to remain at the hall for light refreshments and an opportunity to share treasured memories and stories of Judy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory will be kindly accepted in support of The James Cook University Hospital ICU2 unit.
