Authorities with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Loretta’s body was found on Wednesday after her black vehicle was discovered submerged in Arkansas Creek along the 400 block of Delameter Road in Castle Rock.
According to investigators, the vehicle had reportedly left the roadway, traveled through a field, and went down an embankment before overturning into the creek. Loretta was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
Loretta had been reported missing on June 20 after she failed to return home and missed a family event, something that immediately raised concern among her loved ones. Family members also shared that Lori had been living with a heart-related medical condition, adding to the urgency of the search.
What began as worry soon turned into unimaginable heartbreak.
